Because my sleep needs to be addressed.
This is a major issue. I wake up sleepy 9 times out of 10, though sometimes refreshed. (Refreshed and sleepy are not mutually exclusive.) And I know what the deal is. It's screens. I'm fucking addicted to them. Give me a phone or a tablet, and I'm good until past midnight. Then sleep is not ideal, and I wake in the morning all bleary-eyed and chugging on fumes until noon, perhaps.
When I think about becoming more active, or at least having more energy, lifting more, building more muscle, it all comes down to the fact that energy is lacking. And I can pin that on poor sleep hygiene. Seriously...to put on muscle, there's your three-legged stool: lift, eat, sleep. You have to maximize all three of those. If one leg suffers, the whole stool threatens to fall down.
How do I get myself off of these screens, goddammit? And how do I keep myself entertained before going to bed? This is going to be tough. I'll need to do some reading on this, methinks. Ugh.
For one, I'll have to remind myself of the three-legged stool. Want to get big again? Want muscle? Want to re-establish your identity that you complain is being taken away from you? Get off the screens.
It's easy for me to say that. But let's see what else I can do about this.
